Leyman Advocaten is a young and dynamic law firm with a thorough specialisation in sports law and particular expertise in the world of football and cycling. The unique combination of personal experience in professional sports on the one hand and in-depth legal knowledge on the other enables the firm to assist athletes, clubs, agents and sports federations at a high level.

The origins of the firm should – how could it be otherwise – be brought back to the green turf. Both lawyers got to know each other during the 2022 World Cup for lawyers, organised in Marrakesh (Morocco), being part of the FC Balie team, the Belgian representatives at the championship. A tournament they won, which meant that Mr. Leyman and Mr. Sabbe would henceforth go through life as world champions.

It soon became clear that both lawyers shared the same vision in terms of their professional future. Talks about a partnership took more concrete form during the next lawyers’ football tournament in 2023, this time the Nations Cup in France, which was once again victorious. Thus was born Leyman Advocaten, your legal guide in the world of sport.
